So in today's blog we will be learning about a few fun facts about our country, India...

1}Varanasi is the most ancient surviving city in the world

The holy city of Varanasi also known also Kashi is considered as one of the oldest city of the whole world. It is also believed that this place was once home to Shiva and Shakti.

It is also considered as the pilgrimage place for Hindus, and lots of hindus come here to spend their last days here.

2} There's a floating post office in India


India not only has the largest network of postal services in the world. India also has a very unique post office which floats on the water, it is situated at Dal Lake, Srinagar.

3} Shampoo originated in India


The word shampoo is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Champu' which means to massage. Earlier the herbs were grounded and then were mixed with water. 

4} Around 70% of world's spices come from India only


India is one of the largest producer of spices, and from ancient times only India has been one of the largest exporter of spices , and even today it exports spices worldwide.

5} India is the place from where Ayurveda and Yoga originated


Varanasi is also believed as the birthplace of Yoga and Ayurveda.

6} India also has a national beverage~ Chai (Tea)

Indians are a true lover of tea, and this beverage is the most served beverage throughout the country, also India is the second largest producer of tea throughout the world.

7} Taj Mahal is also changing it's colour slowly



One of the most eye catching places of the world, The Taj Mahal is located here in Agra, India. But however due to pollution the marble walls of  this wonder is slowly changing it's colour.
