Ganesh Chaturthi- A hope positivity...
Hello Everyone!! I am back once again... And day before yesterday was Ganesh Chaturthi, so firstly I would like to wish you all a belated Ganesh Chaturthi...
So without any further discussion let's begin with today's topic..
We already know that a very hard situation is prevailing right now throughout the world, and
in these times of pandemic, this festival that marks the arrival of Lord Ganesha is a ray of hope, positivity and prosperity...
So let's know more about this pious festival....
Let's know about it's origin...
Indian freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak praised the celebration of Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav in his newspaper, Kesari, and dedicated his efforts to launch the annual domestic festival into a large, well-organised public event.
Let us know how this festival is celebrated...
When the rituals begin, the priest chants mantras to invoke life into the idol. Since this festival calls for celebrations, there is loud music on the streets with people dancing to religious songs. The entire ambience turns lively with trendy music, drum beats, and dances of devotees. There are lights, colours, fireworks and much more to add to the festive spirit. The devotees take the idol through the streets, thus singing, dancing and shouting 'Ganapati Bappa Morya, Purchya Varshi Laukariya' which means that the Lord should come back next year.
Few devotees celebrate this festival at home. Family and friends are invited to attend the pooja at home. Recipes like Modak, Pooran Poli, and Sundal are prepared for friends and family.
So now we have enough information about the origin of this festival and also how it is celebrated....
So I hope you would have celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with lots of love and devotion towards Lord Ganesh...
And if not, then next year try it....
Will meet you soon...
STAY HOME and STAY SAFE...
